Red Roof Inn in Amarillo West is our favorite Red Roof Inn to stay at so far. The rooms are clean and well laid out. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! They are kind to pets and that's the number one reason we started staying at Red Roof Inns. We are also members of Hilton but this Red Roof Inn is as good as Hilton, which is saying a lot. We are already planning to stay there in April.

Cheap price. You get what you pay for. The room seemed clean and nice at first. But the towels were stained, the bedding was stained! It was ridiculous and disgusting! We will never go again. No thanks! Also, the little grass areas were filled with dog poop. This place is gross.

I stayed here twice and was happy with both stays. I travel with two cats and this is the most cat friendly hotel I have stayed in. The rooms are huge and perfect for an overnight stay with pets. The price was great and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was pretty good too.

I wasnt going to leave a negative review if I would have been able to get a refund but the property manager for this hotel did not approve even a partial refund. The lady at the front who checked me in was very kind and this review is not a reflection of her in any way. The first room I was given was not cleaned from the previous guest. The 2nd room I was given was very dirty, and the toilet did not work. The 3rd room I was given was unclean and there was food and crumbs all over the floor that I had to put sheets down to avoid walking on the floor. The room also smelt of food, and was missing the tv remote. I have never had any issues with hotels in my life, even budget friendly hotels like this one. So I am disappointed that the hotel didn’t do anything to make my unpleasant stay right.

We arrived to have half of our rooms smelling like cigarette smoke, non-sealing doors so bugs got in, and stained sheets. Rooms were not well maintained. We got a room switch, but when walking to the new room we found blood smeared down the walls and dribbled on the ground right near our door. The blood was fresh and had to be cleaned up by the housekeeping staff. Electronic doors were dying, keycards stopped working, out of clean towels, pool wasn’t open, and a multitude of other issues. Staff was nice, but that’s about as good as the experience got. Breakfast was actually not bad, but have had a lot better. If you are looking for a budget hotel, this one was mostly clean, but I would recommend spending the extra $30 a night on something much nicer.
