We were pleasantly surprised with the Regency Inn - Los Angeles. We chose it because it was close to the event we were attending in Glendale, CA. It was rated a one star hotel on the web. However, we disagree. It was much better than many two stars we have stayed in. It was recently remodeled. All the furniture is fairly new. Granite counters, slate flooring. There are no rooms on the first floor, and no elevator. Only a 2nd and 3rd floor. But that is the layout of the building. Parking appears to be limited. We checked in shortly after 3 p.m., so had no problem. We would definitely stay there again.

I reserved a room a month ago with Ingrid, who is very nice and professional, I arrived, and the room was large and spacious very neat and clean, very good central location, and very reasonably priced based on the comfort inn nearby and other hotels. This is the second time I stay in this hotel in the last 10 years and I would recommend it to anyone who’s coming to Los Angeles, and when I do return, I will come back to the same hotel. Highly recommend it five stars.

You cannot stay here if you have asthma or any breathing issues. 1) the room smelled overwhelmingly of cleaning product, while remaining dirty with sticky floors. 2) there was smoking going on outside of the rooms in hallways. We found bugs (ants and flies) and a lot of dirt in the rooms. No attention to details were found. It would appear the review ratings have been fabricated, or one single room was incredibly sub-par. We left after 30 minutes and found much better a few miles away.

The room was clean and spacious and with everything we need. However, there were constant loud weird noises coming out from the AC and it was really loud and annoying and we couldn't sleep whole night. Switching it on or off did not help us to get rid of the noises. There was water dripping from the ventilation in the bathroom and it will keep dripping on you when you are on the toilet.
