Pros; The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful and kind. The food, mind blowing and they did their very best to help with food allergies (just an fyi something's can get lost in translation so get someone to help translate) The ship, she may be an older girl but she is well loved, clean and beautiful. The rooms are a bit small but you don't need a lot of space because you will be out on deck or your head out the window staring at the beautiful dragon spines. The guide Lin was so lovely and explained everything with the bay and what they are trying to do to protect it and trying to do more. The activities, kayaking was fun as hell never did it before survived and would do it again and leave my shoes behind lol the beaches beautiful. The cave was small and beautiful but crowded.(lots of other groups going through at the same time so watch your step) This is an off shoot area of Halong Bay which is less crowded so it will be much calmer and quite, it is still very beautiful. The Hawks flying around are mine blowing beautiful. The cons...the bed, hard as rock and very uncomfortable ( they where changed after COVID) The air for some reason shut off in the night so it got crazy hot, ( we don't know if it was something we set incorrectly or if it was a generator issue) so if the water is calm have the window open just in case. The drinks are very, very expensive. That being said they do not skimp on the booze lol so one mix drink is more like three in one lol! Be kind about the pollution there... sadly it's bad but they are trying to work on it and save the bay, so do your part while there and make sure you don't throw anything over board and just be mindful. Hell pick up something you find on the shore or the bay and help. This a beautiful area and it is a combo of tourists that are causing the issue too.

(Solo Traveller) I had the 2-day cruise and it's all worth it. Our tour guide, the logistics, the view and the calmness of Ha Long Bay, the crew, the room, the activities (kayaking, swimming, caving, squid fishing, board games, tai chi, cooking class), the food (i am not so fan of viet food but the foods in the cruise are really good), and the size of the guests (20-30 people only so it's not crowded) are all just perfect. I easily get sea sick but with ha long bay, it's so calm and the area where the cruise parked at night is enclosed with rocks/small islands so it is extremely calm. But other areas in Ha Long Bay are with garbages though per our tour guide the government is spending taxes to clean the ha long bay.

We did the Bai Tu Long Bay cruise (2 days/1 night), it was really nice. Duc and the boat crew were amazing. The boat was good, our cabin was so comfortable and the view was just stunning ! Everything was clean and in good conditions The food was really yummy and fresh (and a lot !). We did some kayaking, swimming, cave exploration and a food demonstration. We enjoyed it a lot ! Really cool vibes, Highly recommend this cruise.

Had a wonderful time on Renea Cruises,, our tour guide Peter is most likely the nicest person in all of Vietnam. His English speaking, knowledge of the area and hilarious sense of humour is top tier and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. The food was even better than we expected and there was LOTS of it. Would definitely reccomend as Renea tours will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi before the tour and drop you back off directly afterwards to the same place with no stress, no worries and no regrets. Peter was with us the whole way! Very professional and relaxing ❤️

Update: If you do decide to use this tour operator at your own peril, strongly advise against allowing them to photograph your passport to avoid unauthorized disclosure to other parties, as they have done with mine. Avoid this scam at all costs and spend a little more to have a nice, enjoyable time. This company operates a shady operation with a boat that lacks any privacy and amenities and does not disclose additional fees, such as bus transfer and "peak" season. Moreover, they fail to provide adequate safety, leading to slip and falls and subsequent injury. Finally, when disclosing the displeasure via their on-boat survey, the guide will ask for revision in order to improve their standing with third-parties.
