The host Urszula and her son Lorenzo were outstanding. They could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was first class including, cerials, cold meats, cheeses, breads and pastries, the standouts were the buffalo mozzarella, prunes and vine plum tomato’s - simply Devine. The location of the hotel could not have been better, it over looks Largo di Torre Argentina, the place of Julia Caesar’s assignation in 44BC. Directly underneath is lovely little pasta restaurant. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed. 10min North of the hotel you have Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, 10 min East you have the Colosseum and Roman forum. Not only that, The city has so much more to offer and this hotel is the heart of everything. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay.

Amazing hotel and a highlight of our trip. Ursela and her son are very helpful, nice and wonderful. The breakfast was amazing and this place has a view of the Largo di Torre Argentina so you have view of cats everyday. It is in the center of all of the must see places of Rome and all very walkable.

What a warm and beautiful welcome. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly enough. I was travelling with my friend Jesse. We were made to feel so welcome. The room has great character (period building) and ours had two bathrooms which was great when travelling with a friend - to have our own space. Breakfast was delightful - lots of bread, fresh fruit and nuts. I warned Ursula I was vegan and she made sure there was soya milk for the coffee and extra cucumber and carrots in the buffet selection. So so thoughtful! The family are all just so lovely. Excellent location. My friend Jesse stayed on in one of the rooms with the view - even nicer and great sound proof windows. Very clean. Ours had a lovely powerful shower. I would return and recommend this sweet family run spot. The small elevator to the third floor was very helpful with a suitcase too! Thank you

Such a gem of a place!!! We had such a warm welcome from Ursula who sent us WhatsApps even before we arrived asking if we would like her to hire us a car (which we did for €50 and it was totally worth it) and had breakfast waiting for us when we got there!! The rooms are huge and the bathrooms enormous with amazing heating and a comfy beds. We had a room for 3 so it had 2 full bathrooms which was super useful. It’s 4 minutes walk to the Jewish quarter and walking distance to many amazing sites including Campo di Fiori. We took the buses a lot and there are tons of bus stops close by making it such a great location for literally everything. They put out a wonderful spread for breakfast - it’s so cozy with the rooms being on the same floor as the breakfast / reception - and is so nice to be able to start out your day with good coffee, pastries, fresh fruit and more. If I could give them 6 stars I would!!!

Fantastic stay at Residenza Gens Julia. Large, clean rooms with a view over Largo di Torre Argentina and a great location 5 mins from Jewish quarter, 10 mins from Campo de Fiori, Pantheon, Altare della Republica and 15 mins from Trastevere. The service provided by Ursula, our hostess was the highlight of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She was lovely with our kids and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!
