Residenza sciarra bed and breakfast is in the heart of Rome. It consists of 4 bedrooms and a shared area that for the breakfast time. The host was wonderful and communicated well with us using Whatsapp and in person. In the morning a nice croissants, pastries and coffee was provided. There is no parking provided but paid parking lots are 3 minutes away but it is a hefty 80 Euros for one night. The room we booked had a queen bed and a single bed for myself, my wife and our 14 years old son. It was clean and the ceiling is really high. The bathroom was clean but wasn't great. It was small and the sink had issues draining water. The shower was fine and the towels were clean and fresh. Our stay was nice since we were out most of the time and this is a great option for a couple or young people who are on vacation or on short business trips. I can't recommend the location and the host enough. Go there and enjoy Rome.

Accommodations were highly disappointing. The overpriced room had a bad smell, poor breakfast, and there was no secure place to store our luggage. Sara unprofessional response on WhatsApp only added to our negative experience. I will certainly be advising others to avoid your accommodations in the future.

No need to think twice about staying here! Everything about La Papessa is absolutely perfect. For one, the price is very reasonable for everything you get. It is located right in the heart of everything, under a five minute walk to the Trevi fountain and Pantheon and about a 15-20 minute walk to Vatican and Colosseum. Many great restaurants and shopping all around. There is even a pharmacy right downstairs to take covid tests required for travel. But the main reason I would stay here a million times over is because of host and owner Caterina. She provides such great hospitality and a comforting vibe to every guest that walks through the door that you will not find anywhere else. Upon my booking, Caterina contacted me regarding my flight details and arranged transportation to and from the airport for us (which arrived on time). She also responded in a timely manner for any questions or concerns we had prior to our arrival. Upon arrival, Caterina waited for us to check in, offered us some coffee, showed us our room and provided us with a map and some recommendations. We loved her so much that we rebooked another night here when we returned to Rome before flying out the next morning. I ended up having some issues with my flight the early morning of and she was so kind to allow us to stay another night and found me a pharmacy open on a Sunday for a new Covid test as we arranged a new flight. I cannot say enough good things about her and hope to see her again one day!
