We had a nice riverfront room, the breakfast is very basic but you're only a few minutes walk to the cafes in town. The gardens are lovely.

The rooms were clean; although they could have provided a mosquito net in summer. On the other hand, the service was really good. We reached there late night and they were ready to accommodate us with the room and dinner as well; though we had to call them beforehand. We did jungle safari through jeep and they were co-operative enough to book us with the tour. The location is in the main sauraha spot and the views were simply breathtaking, mainly in the morning. The hotel itself feels like a trip to the main jungle without any hustle and bustle and great ambiance for peace-loving people. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a affordable but a great stay!

We stayed for two nights and went on one full day safari through the hotel. PROS: The hotel is quite nice with good views and a rhino comes by the hotel to chew on vegetation. The breakfast was mediocre, but the dinner was quite good. CONS: The hotel manager really tries to rip you off. We definitely paid extra for the tour, but he asked us to pay 240 dollars to book a taxi for a drive that was less than four hours on a good road. Ridiculous!! Of course we refused and in the morning he tried to explain that it was for a 'deluxe' car. He was clearly covering for himself. At least try to rip us off by less than 50 dollars.. So stupid. We easily found a ride for 70 dollars in an excellent vehicle. Also, the guide forgot his binoculars and was fairly incompetent. This was at a premium price. So, staying at the hotel is not bad, but don't listen to anything the manager says or tries to sell you.
