I’ve stayed here for many times during past 7 years. It’s very clean, spacious and comfortable. It’s very close to the Philosophers Path so usually I start my day with a nice and quiet walk on it. It’s a bit far from Kyoto Station that’s a down side. However, it’s still very convenient with bus stop and supermarket nearby. By the way, there’s a “sento” nearby as well, very handy in a cold winter.

Super clean, tidy, organized and well-maintained hotel. The room is spacious unlike traditional Japanese hostel. Price is reasonable. Discount 30% if you are introduced by a friend who used to live there (you need to provide your friend’s name or email address or phone number so that the owner can check on his system). The owner is 70-80 years old already - but stays healthy and energetic. Very close to: bus stop, family mart, food shops and specially, a public bath house. I will come back if I have chance.

I like ROKUROKU for its seki. tradiional japanese garden and building. the place for living is also good. reasonable price, free bicycle, recomending My wife and I have stayed in ROKUROKU for many time, still we will stay here when we visit KYOTO. Usually, we will stay more then 5 days a time. From here, we can reach any place in Kyoto by city bus or bicycle. It is a really good Inn for us. Strong recommending
