My wife and I enjoyed our stay here and truly memorable. The rooms are good, the futon are comfortable, the location is good and a good Ryokan experience for our few nights in Kyoto.

We wanted to try staying in a ryokan in Kyoto, so this is where we picked. We came in February, so I think we might have been some of the only guests in the ryokan (we only saw one other guest our whole time there). The room was very traditional, and they had some tea waiting upon arrival. They came and rolled out the mattresses when we headed out in the evening, and rolled them up when we went out in the morning. The staff was very friendly. Overall, would recommend staying here for a centrally located ryokan in Kyoto.

Room is big ,bt corridor n decor seems old My Ryokan was right at the end so walking from the lift to my room was an additional 2-300m Onsen was reasonably clean,bt it was always me 1 person in the onsen for the past 3 days Perhaps mgmt can consider putting a hot flask in each room instead of going to main lobby to refill the hot flask

We booked this ryokan during new year so the prices were a bit high. The service was excellent, some of the staff spoke English which was a plus for us. The location is also great, being close to the subway and Nishiki market. Meals weren't part of the cost, so we had to pay extra for the dinner. The food was great, more than enough for us. The public bath was okay. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
