Sherwood Exclusive Lara, All Inclusive

Came today after staying in another hotel which was 3* over Xmas....decided to try a '5*' hotel .....dear god, I wish I'd taken notice of some of the reviews, asked for rooms next to me and my mother as I'm disabled, in a wheelchair, got here no rooms together but you can in 2 days!......so I was on the 1st floor, she on the 5th.....rooms are very basic but clean which was fine, mothers electric blew 3x and was sitting in the dark for a time, which again suppose these things happen......being in mind she's a 70 year old woman.......went down for our evening meal.....to find the food very very different from what was advertised, most bowls with food were empty, old slopped food was left round and about, there was no sighn telling what anything was, the pots that were covered I couldn't reach anyway as the setting was so high......but did manage to wait in a 10 min queue for abit of fish.......all the salad pots were empty, as were cheese, deserts but a couple of fruits were left in the corner, none set out out nice which showed in the pics. as leaving saw the manager and asked him why most of the food containers were empty, in which he replied, we have had alot of people in lately! Is that our fault!! .......Met David who's a lovely guy, sat in the foyer and had a couple of drinks.......Came upstairs as were tired after travelling........all I can say the noise is like being in Newcastle Town Centre on match day!........my god its terrible, chair's screetching along the floor constantly.............never been to a hotel like this in all my life......Its now 3am and doesn't look like I'm getting sleep anytime soon!............I so wish I'd took notice of the reviews,............apart from no food, terrible noise, no safe and poor disabled facilities, on a good note the mini bar does have water and soft drinks, and tea and coffee are supplied. To make this 5* I can only presume its the grey thread bare dressing gowns which are supplied! I could go on but ill leave it at that.......... If reading this doesn't put you off, come at your own peril! You Have Been Warned!!

It is a well run hotel the staff and service was brilliant. However think the sunbeds and umbrellas could do with an update quite a few broken . The dinning chairs and lounge chairs need updating. The food was excellent and lots to choose from. Heard a few people moaning no bacon and English food why its a Muslim country . If you require English food then stay in England. We'll done to the staff at Sherwood for a brilliant holiday .
