Sitara Place Hotel & Serviced Apartment

This place represents excellent value - it's in a very convenient location, housekeeping does an excellent job, and security does also, while remaining very friendly and approachable. I stayed here for about two months during an internship here in Bangkok, I come from Australia. During that time I noticed Sitara offers a level of convenience that certain other hotels don't. It's great that there is a washing machine on every floor, and each room is equipped with a drying rack. There is an easily accessible main office where you can express any problems you may have (you probably won't have many, though) with the friendly staff, and a laundry right opposite. Sitara's management is very competent, and very mindful of the hotel's reputation. They are quick to kick out anyone who breaches the rules - understandable, and a very positive thing for the majority of patrons, but something to be mindful of if you're fond of the stereotypically loud and crazy Bangkok nightlife. This place attracts sensible people, probably partly because of the price bracket it's in, which is great because it means everyone sleeps easy at night knowing there won't be any disturbances. The shuttle tuk-tuk advertised on the website is punctual and genuinely useful, as well as cost-effective. The WiFi is fast, simple to connect to, and with no external log-in portal which can often be difficult to use depending on your device. The hotel rooms have beds which are big and super comfortable - and this is something that I especially appreciate after going to different places, which have beds that are not up to the same standard. Each closet has coat-hangers, a simple but very convenient and useful addition. The television works well; few, if any, channels have any static, and the TV's even have a HDMI cable! This is such a great addition; if you work mainly from your laptop, you have an easily-available external monitor if you stay at Sitara Place. There's a microwave in each room, and a safe-deposit box. If you wish to use a portable stove in your room, this can also be provided upon request. How awesome! No need to spend excessively on take-away food during your stay. Sitara can really be a home away from home. Few other hotels in this price bracket offer so many genuinely useful additions, and provided by helpful and friendly staff, all based in a super convenient location. Management/front office staff speak English, and have seen a lot after overseeing this place for quite a long time; they are an invaluable contact should you need assistance here in Bangkok as a foreigner, or even as a local coming from a different city. I am impressed with Sitara Place, and impressed with the service-minded people who manage it. I am 100% certain that you will be, too, if you choose to stay here. Excellent serviced apartment for my long-term stay (1 month) in Bangkok with my travel partner. It was home sweet home and will be our base next time we return to Bangkok. Payment is cash, credit card (small 3% transaction fee), or they also take Wise payments. Sitara hotel is located in a quiet residential area within a short walking distance of the hottest night markets, Central Rama 9, Fortune town, Phra Ram 9 MRT station, and wonderful dining options. Customer service is top notch with the owners (Sunil, the father, and Saloni, the daughter), front desk, security, tuk tuk driver (who is also the plumber/electrician), and other hotel staff. I felt very safe. During my stay, I saw lots of solo female travelers, young families, seniors, and also long-term stay residents in the building. Fast wifi for streaming or digital nomad work. Coin operated washing machine for 30 baht per load (tip: exchange bills for 10 baht coins at front desk during office hours), dryers for 50 baht per load, very clean water refill for 1 baht per liter, water bottles available for purchase, easy access to 7/11 down the block, king bed, a/c, hot showers, toiletries, dishware and silverware, cooking set available on request, clothing hangers and drying rack to dry clothes, hair blow dryer and makeup table, light blocking curtains for a good night's sleep, large TV, large refrigerator with ice tray, microwave, and hot water electric kettle. We had a late flight arrival, and we were very grateful for the great communication and accommodating staff. Advanced tip: the closest bus stop will be near China Embassy which we used multiple times for air conditioned bus to other shopping malls/travel destinations as well. Sometimes the bus was more convenient than MRT or BTS.
