Picked the place to stay for Kobe Marathon this year. The pricing is reasonable compare to other choices I had. The only downside was the very tight spacing of the room which I had hard time stretching my body, but it was really it. Only a few minutes from the Motomachi train station on foot, and Chinatown is located at next block so I enjoyed the street foods there. And yes, I can walk to the starting point of the marathon from here and the hotel can keep your bag for you even after checking out.

Very good location. Crappy hotel for the price we paid. Stayed in a double room. The small size was expected but the A/C unit sucked. It was more like a humidifier. When used in conjunction with the small mouldy bathroom you could imagine yourself away from the room and pretend that you were in the tropics. Only stay here if you get a good deal. Like a REALLY good deal. Like if they paid YOU. Free breakfast though.
