Rooms are so comfortable and peaceful. Staff is well experienced and professional. Swimming pool so clean and relaxing. Food was continental and delicious with a great variety. Everything was hygienic and clean. Their facilities and services are so great. Airport shuttle service is really helpful. It's the best place for Saturday night party. Disco Club was so exciting. Overall ratings 9.5/10. This place is highly recommended for international tourists and natives. Thanks for reading my reviews !!!

Although listed on some hotel sites as a 5-star hotel, I found the Sonesta Hotel Cairo to be more of a 2-star. Rooms were old and dingy with tired antique style furniture. Beds were shabby and not the most comfortable. The fridge looked and smelled mouldy. The bathroom was poorly maintained, with rust and corrosion on plumbing fixtures, mold around the sink and an excess of caulking just about everywhere. The lobby area and restaurant were fine. Staff and security measures were good. There are banking facilities in the lobby, which was handy. We did not try the casino. The hotel is located in the Eastern part of Cairo, near the airport and where there are government and military buildings. There is not much to do in the area, no shopping or restaurants.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel for a family vacation. Everything was so nice. Breakfast was fresh with great varieties. Let me to request coffee hot comes to the table. We stayed at the executive floor and enjoyed the executive lounge during the day. The lounge has variety of food, snacks, and drinks. Asmaa who helped us at the lounge was great and helped us in every possible way.

A fairly worn-out "5 star hotel". Good:The WiFi is good and the rooms are comfy enough. Bad: There were numerous issues that usually are no big deal (ie no shower gel, windows jammed open, incorrect beds, cold shower). However staff members sometimes take hours to address even the simplest issues, and othertimes they don't fix them at all. I stayed here twice as part of a tour and would not stay again due to this and the location of the hotel. EDIT: After posting this review, hotel staff contacted me to try and rectify the issues mentioned above. This demonstrated a good degree of professionalism.
