The reception staff were very helpful although speaking little English and my Japanese being not very skilled. I like smaller hotel in a quiet location on a non-trafficked (pedestrian only) street. Super close to transportation hub and shopping precincts. Great stay! Thank you Fresa Inn Sannomiya. Also, super clean!!

We just came from the Sotetsu Fresa in Kawasaki and did not think rooms could get any smaller. 12sqm is definitely borderline for two travelers with luggage. They even had a sign on the aircon that said that you should not hang clothes on it. That just underlines how tiny the room is and how desperate people get. The room in Kawasaki was 3 sqm larger and had at least a built in wardrobe where you could hang your clothes and put your suitcases, but not in Kobe. The 3sqm really make a difference. I decided not to even open my suitcase and wait until the next stop on our trip. It is just a place to sleep, not for claustrophobic people. Didn’t like the reception situation, the staff is always there but hidden behind a wall, which gives it a very impersonal feeling. Everything is done through machines. Also an area to hang out or a bar like in European budget hotels would be nice. A big advantage is the location. It is close to the train station and many restaurants and a 711 is just downstairs literally around the corner.

Love the location of where this hotel is, super close to train station, also next to an 7 11 store. Lots of restaurants close by, its the perfect spot while visiting Kobe! Also the staff and service here was amazing!
