We stayed nearly a month in Sophia’s guesthouse. It was a perfectly fine stay. The room was simple, but clean. The service is amazing and the Sophia is always up for a good chat. She also helped us to go to Vietnam. She’s very lovely and so are her children and the animals. We can only recommend this guesthouse to anyone who looks for a affordable but great room.

Booked to stay here twice, both times my reservation was not on their list. Which is always a bit unnerving after an 8 hour bus journey. They said they had issues with agoda but eventually found the booking. The pros: The staff are lovely, the animals are beautiful, the location is quite good and the breakfast is amazing (fruit, poached eggs on toast and coffee!). The cons: Because of the issue of not having my reservation initially the first room I was given was a twin and told that the double room was being painted. The twin room was fine. The second time I arrived with no reservation I was given a room in the "other" building. Which is just next door. This room was bad, there was a lot of mold on the ceiling. And there was a horrible damp smell in there, luckily I was only in there 2 nights but any longer and it could make you ill. The tap had no stopper underneath, so if you cleaned your teeth it came out of the bottom on your feet. It seemed like I got a bad deal because it might be a room they don't usually use since nothing was plugged in either due to the reservation issue. In that room you get the noise of the nightclub that stops around 1amish. So its a split review really, if you get the left part of the building its good I think, and no reservation issues. But if you get the room I got in the right side (room 202), it's a health issue. But nice enough people.

We stayed here for 4 night and we got 4th floor. Beautiful sunrise, good location, wifi, water heater and aircon work really well. The owner and staff are nice and very helpful. Thank you for good service!

What a lovely surprise to arrive in Phnom Pehn and be welcomed by Sophia and her staff. When you book online you never know what you will get. But this time I got lucky. The price was cheaper then most accomodation in the same area. The place is right in the centre, you can walk to most places, food and the river and still very calm and peaceful to sleep. The room was not big not it didn’t feel crowded as there is a little balcony, so there is natural light coming into the room and it feels bigger in a way. In the mornings I enjoyed my breakfast at the adjacent cafe, also owned by Sophia, where I usually saw her family, so it brought a sense of community and local experience. A memory experience of Phnom Pehn and Sophia’s hotel. Thank you 🙏🏽

I got this contact from one of my friend and we booked through online third party agent make my trip. We confirmed our booking with the owner on phone. That owner sounded like irritated, but when we arrived the staff welcomed us very politely. We have booked two rooms for a night. Rooms were not so big, but not congested too. Bathroom was clean, hot water was available 24 hours. Our one room has broken AC but the owner offered us a different room in another hotel at the same price. However we didn't go to the new room. They got fixed the AC in sometime and also gave us a table fan. Food was tasty (at least for an Indian). They have complementary breakfast (not for check out day!). They als o kept our bags when we were roaming in the city after our check out. One big advantage of this hotel is, royal palace, national museum and river bed are very near from the hotel. So, this hotel is a good option for budget rooms and I will definitely recommend it! Love from India!
