We found a cockroach under the bed, horrid experience. In the top floor, the place must have been infested! The pictures in Booking do not correspond to the hotel. We were in a room with very high temperature in the middle of summer. Apparently they have the same air conditioning temperature for the whole hotel and we could not sleep as it was super hot. The street and neighbourhood look like Beirut. The reception is dark and gloomy. Not recommend it!

Seeing the reviews online, I was very worried and sceptical about this hotel. However, my stay at Sparta Team Hotel really exceeded my expectations. We were on level 3 in room 303, and there were absolutely no bed bugs or cockroaches, everywhere was clean and smelled great. Staff were friendly even when we accidentally left our room key inside. In the room there was even a mini fridge, which is definitely a plus. The only downsides were that you can easily hear other people from the rooms next to you, and that the location of the hotel is not the safest part of Athens. Late at night it is very dark to walk through and quite scary, especially for women. However, giving that this hotel is only 1 stars and very affordable, I think that overall, it is very very worth it. I would highly recommed! Don't let all the negative, exaggerated reviews deter you from booking here.

several issues with this hostel, do not recommend at all !! - pictures look nothing like reality - bed bugs !!! bed bugs will bite you alive in the night. my partner’s neck is all swollen and red - got there and the room didn’t have electricity, took 5 times to talk to the front desk for the issue to be solved (2 stars of service for the blonde lady who is nice and professional, the other one not so much…) - both the bathroom and room floors were dirty, bathroom was full of black footsteps

We arrived early and staff was so kind to prepare the room and let us check-in earlier. The room was super clean and had lovely fragrance. We are family of 4. The bedsheets and towels were clean and good condition. Bathroom and toilet was very clean. The next day the air-conditioning stopped but staff were very helpful to get the technician fix it immediately. We really want to thank each and every staffs at Spata hotel for their best and excellent service. We had a wonderful stay here. The price was and location was good as it was close to everthing. Highly recommended 👍Kings family Singapore
