Hotel housekeeping stole 35-40 euros of chocolates from the room. Manager would not even apologize. We stayed at this hotel last week and had what I would call the worst travel experience of our lives. We had a do not disturb sign on the door and returned to the sign missing and discovered candies that had been in our luggage missing from their bag. Other bags had clearly been gone through, but it's impossible to judge what/if anything is missing. When we spoke to management, they said that they would conduct an investigation and within 20 minutes told us that the maid denied it. The manager spoke to me like a child and said that the room was too messy for us to know what happened. Refused to even apologize. Felt completely unsafe and violated. Cannot discourage anyone considering this hotel enough. Complete nightmare

**Edit** After coming down to reception I was eventually able to move rooms to a quieter room (upgrade with an extra charge) to an exec suite, which was nicer and quieter and the shower worked!) The young gentleman at reception was great he was calm and could see my frustration. And took care of things quickly for me. Also credit to the assistant manager who asked to speak to me the following day post this review to really understand the problems I faced and address them with me. which was appreciated and very professional. All in all I'm much happier with my stay since the room move. Yes the hotel is still in need of updating but given the low cost to stay all in all its not bad value. Also the food is pretty good too. Recommend the chicken Caesar salad and the mango cheese cake Moving to 3-4 stars. Currently staying in room 175 If I could give this place 0 stars I would, the decor is dated, the shower doesn’t work and is cold. In fact I would get wetter and cleaner if I paid a crack head to spit on me, which given its ghetto location one shouldn’t be hard to find. The bed was two singles pushed together. Which I didn’t order. The front desk people are a little bit weird. When I checked in after a long day of traveling (I asked the front desk in advance for a quiet room) to which they put me on the first floor right above the bar which plays loud music) I called to ask to move rooms, was told no other rooms were free. Which I find hard to believe. She said she would ask them to turn the music down to which the music actually got louder!!! No real room amenities such as iron, ironing board,general standards of cleanliness etc The phone broke half way through trying ordering room service, by broke I mean it just stopped working in my hand.

A hotel that feels stuck in the past with old fashioned room keys, dark rooms with heavy upholstery, showers that take forever to get warm and almost no plug sockets to charge devices. Everything is clean, of a good quality and in good condition but it feels like the hotel requires fresh ideas. Prices were on the high side so our expectations were higher. How I rate *****Wow **** Really good *** Good ** Didn’t meet expectations * Poor

Our overall disappointment started with check-in and the dining experiences at the Starhotels Business Palace in Milan and if we could give 0 starts we would. We arrived at the hotel in the evening with high expectations, having traveled extensively in various regions of Italy and anticipating a positive conclusion to our journey in Milan. Unfortunately, our initial impression was marred by an overall sense of unwelcomeness.While the staff who assisted us during check-in demonstrated great service and accommodation (we ended up downgrading since we had the first floor room overlooking a row of trash bins) , our second encounter left much to be desired. We were met by a staff member who engaged in a confrontational manner, demanding that we move our car and continued to yell at us until we got in the car. This encounter was particularly unacceptable as, during check-in, we explicitly inquired about leaving our car temporarily while bringing our luggage upstairs and were assured that it would not be an issue. We literally dropped our bags in our second room and came right downstairs to move the car (all within 10 minutes). The abrupt and aggressive nature of this interaction was one we had never experienced. Additionally, our disappointment continued during our attempt to have dinner at the hotel. We were informed that the restaurant was full for the evening, despite observing vacant tables on the floor. The male staff member handling our request was unaccommodating and dismissive. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were met with the explanation that he hasn't seen a hotel that can accommodate 500 guests. This response was not only unsatisfactory but also seemed incongruent with the visible availability of tables. This experience was, unfortunately, the worst we have encountered in our travels, especially considering this is a 4-star hotel. With the complete disappointment, I made sure to send an email directly addressed to the manager to the email posted on the website and google, and received no acknowledgement or apology. We believe that a key aspect of a positive hotel experience is the staff's ability to provide exceptional service and hospitality. Regrettably, the incidents we encountered have left us with a negative impression.
