The staff made us very welcome and fixed problems with the recalcitrant air-conditioning. There is no accessible balcony, which meant the washing we were doing was not drying until we found out about the ventilation in the bathroom - there was no info in the welcome pack, but I think we may well have been the first guests in our room. The location is excellent, with Nijo castle about five minutes'walk away and an excellent Italian restaurant nearby. The were three in our party and our room really wasn't big enough to comfortably fit us all. Other than that, a very good stay. I recommend.

Great place to stay for single or couples visiting Kyoto. My room was small by American standards but had plenty of room to move around even with two twin beds, a couch and a mini kitchen with enough equipment to cook (though with all the great food in Kyoto not sure who would want to). Japanese-style shower/bath unit; watching TV in the soaker tub was great after hiking around Kyoto all day! Not sure, but everything looked brand-new. Booked with an Expedia package, and I would definitely stay there again!

This hotel have a very great location, close to Nijo Castle, oike street, downtown. There is restaurant, supermarket, convenient store etc. The hotel have a great size, all furnished and private, there is kitchen also in the room that help :) I will go again.
