Sumengen Hotel is ideally situated within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, as well as other key attractions. I was thoroughly impressed by the ambiance, the panoramic views, and the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. Their hospitality truly stood out. The complimentary morning breakfast offered wide options and tasted really good. The rooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean, adding to the overall positive experience. I wholeheartedly endorse Sumengen Hotel for a memorable stay in Istanbul.

We had a very early check-in which was amazing. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were cozy and clean. The best was the breakfast which was Turkish and mostly vegetarian. The breakfast room had an amazing view toward the Asian side of Istanbul We will come back for sure!

Excellent location! Room was quite nice for the price and the breakfast was pretty good. Loved the close proximity to everything within the old city. We easily walked everywhere we went.

According to its price, the location is excellent, you are in the haert of ancient Istanbul , and you have access by 1minute walking to all historical sites like topgapi palace, sultan suleyman masque and sultan ahmad masque, little handcraft bazar ...so close. an area that never sleep, full of tourists, local people,nice bars, resurants, music, good and variable foods ...And the sea is behind you. There is a great view from the dining room to the sea but in summer, the balcony is very hot for sitting even for breakfast. The rooms have pleasant old style decoration, with great views from the windows.clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a little poor but the coffee bar (all kinds of tea bags along with nice French coffee and all kinds of machine coffee) The stuff were good. Weaknesses: August is not a good time to travel to Istanbul because the weather was very very hot and wet. The neighborhood is very old and it was a bit difficult to reach the hotel by car. The breakfast was weak and of low quality. There was a lot of noise from the staff in the mornings.
