A lot of love went into this place. Once I was checked in to my comfortable room (no A/C, know that going in) I was able to stroll around - everywhere I looked was art. Water features. Statues. A steampunk octopus overlooks the pool. I can't describe it, see the photos. 8 minutes from the airport in their free shuttle. Can't beat it.

Great place to stay for a stop over in Johannesburg. We had one night here between flights - very efficient airport collection, welcoming reception, great dinner and breakfast. Pool area pleasant (pool cold - but then the kids were in it in the dark!) and good bar area. Small gym - family used it to try and start getting fit again after 3 weeks on the road eating too much and watching animals while doing no exercise! Family room was clean and comfortable with good bathroom facilities and good to have a large lawn for playing games while waiting to return to the airport.

Perfect spot for a long 14-hour layover at Johannesburg. I was specifically looking for a place that was near and that would provide free shuttle service to and from O.R. Tambo international airport. This place stood out among other competitors because, at its very decent price point, it was rated above 9 out of 10. The rating is well deserved. Soon after I booked, I received a detailed text giving me instructions on how to schedule my shuttle from the airport. That made my eventual shuttle trip very seamless. This ought to give you some peace of mind if you are concerned about safety in a foreign city. More peace of mind: Sunrock is gated (walled, should say) and has only one entrance. So no random people coming into the campus. They offered a delicious buffet dinner for a very affordable price, and they were literally grilling the food hours before. Room itself was perfect. I didn't need much, just a bed and a working shower. And I had an early international flight at 06:40 the next morning, meaning I had to be back at the airport at 03:30 in the morning. That was no trouble for the shuttle. Just had to request a pick up time upon check in. Book this place, oena.

Did a couple of nights here on my way to Zimbabwe. Communication through WhatsApp was quick and easy to coordinate a pickup from the airport. Rooms were clean, onsite food, great coffee, bar, and massage made this place perfect with everything you need. Staff were very friendly and helpful with all questions. Owner (harley guy) was onsite and in my passing sounded nice. I highly recommend this place for either a stop over or if you are passing through it has everything you need. Don't hesitate
