Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square

Hotel was in prime location, very clean and modern. And the view from our room was insane! Room felt very quiet and relaxing although you are in the hustle and bustle of the city. Beds were very extremely comfortable and we loved the local soaps in the bathroom. The check in process took a pretty long time as the line was long. However, the staff made up for this by providing complementary beverages and sweet treats while we waited. We also noticed a charge on our card after we left from the hotel. We booked through a third party and apparently it was an issue from them. The staff was very prompt about reversing this. *Every employee we encountered was very friendly and willing to offer assistance. Lastly, I will say that the photos of the bar area are a bit misleading. We were excited to stay somewhere with a bar that overlooked Times Square, but there were zero windows in this part of the hotel. Overall we are so happy we stayed here and would 100% recommend! We really enjoyed our visit!

Do Not Book Here, Double check your bank statements for double charges on your already over priced room. And be ready for management to test your intelligence when they are in the wrong. What a mess. Save your time and money. My husband and I booked over a month prior to traveling there from Florida with our 11yr old. Upon arrival we checked in and immediately was informed a manager was needed for us to check in. Working at a Hilton hotel before I had known what happened. They over booked the hotel and sold one of our conjoining rooms. Which unfortunately was exactly what happened. After an hour of waiting, Freddy the night time manager, apologized for selling one of our rooms and admitted they were in the wrong. He offered us two separate rooms free of charge. We thought that was fair and just split up into two separate rooms. Freddy told us he would inform the day time manager so the next morning the refund would be all settled and we could leave. Unfortunately the next morning at check out Martha, the front desk manager, came to tell us that Freddy of course never said any of that. Her verbiage for the hotel being in the wrong was unbelievable. A lot of apologies with zero solutions. Not only did we wait an hour to check in, we also waited over an hour to fight our case and be told we’re liars. Not to mention they double charged us for one the rooms. While we showed Martha the bank statements and she acted as if I gave her something in a different language. We asked for the general manager to talk to him but he was in a meeting. I left a message and have heard nothing back. For a new hotel you would think they would care about their guests and their experience. This hotel is definitely a bad look for hotels associated with the Hilton. So much for being an honor's member and visiting more than 30 of their hotels...
