I took the trip in a group of 8 people, in 3 different rooms for 10 days, and so we can express these opinions: *** PROS: Friendly breakfast staff. Have a nice breakfast. It's located in a nice, quiet neighborhood (although it's a good walk to get to the nearest metro station). Quiet street, side of the main avenue. Reasonable bed. There is a café on the corner (more or less). **** CONS: Old hotel. Room is not "bright" / illuminated - because lights are not centralized, being "corner". At night the room is not completely dark - curtains are in pieces and do not cover the entire window, and there is no backout for the window. Wi-Fi internet is only accessible at the hotel reception (in the rooms the signal is extremely weak or non-existent). Maids are not polite, they always leave the room DIRTY, they don't vacuum the room and they always leave something to be desired (even toilet paper has to be requested to be put in the bathroom). There is no telephone/intercom in the room. There is no support to prevent falls in the bathroom (a bathtub is used but without a safety bar, running the risk of falling when getting out of the bathtub - especially if you are elderly). There is no drain in the bathroom (if it gets wet, there is nowhere to drain the water - which could lead to falls in the bathroom). Only 1 working elevator. There is no hairdryer. They don't change bed linen regularly. In addition to the cost of accommodation, a fee of U$50.00 (50 US dollars) is charged at check-in as a deposit for possible damages, on the credit card (which is returned/refunded at check-out if not there is damage to the hotel). There are stairs to reach the hotel reception. "Good" walk to the nearest metro station (Los Leones Station). There are NO markets nearby.

Firstly, I was charged for something I didn't consume, and this completely changed the grade I would give in my evaluation. Location, despite being a little far from the subway and most tourist attractions, it is on a beautiful and quiet street, I don't mind having to walk a little further, so I didn't find the distance problematic, especially since the neighborhood is cute. The room is spacious, and very clean, especially the bathroom, the heater giving it the time it needs makes the room cozy, the covers warm enough for us to spend the night well and the bed was very comfortable too. The shower sometimes takes a while to heat up because it's gas, but that wasn't a problem once we got used to it. Everyone served us very well. The breakfast, despite not being incredibly varied, was very tasty. The hotel would benefit from a renovation, we could see some things damaged by time and use, which didn't affect my stay nor was it an issue for me either, especially considering the price was very good compared to other hotels we saw at the time of choice. What really bothered me was that when checking out, an employee went to the room to check if they could hear anything available in the room being consumed and even though we hadn't consumed anything, they said we had consumed water. We didn't consume the water mainly for fear of getting sick as we had already seen that the minerals present in Chilean water could cause discomfort in those who are not used to it, so we waited to buy water at the market (we bought a lot of bottles and took them to the room). We didn't think it was necessary to check the list they gave us of the things in the room (to check if anything was missing when we arrived) as we never had this type of problem. What happened is that they must not have replaced it after the previous guest left and the receptionist told us that we would have to pay because she couldn't let us leave without paying even if she believed we didn't consume it, as the hotel's rules dictate. The water cost us 20 reais (3000 Chilean pesos), which despite being very expensive, made us more uncomfortable with the embarrassment and having to pay for something we didn't consume. So here's a tip, check everything, photograph everything, because when you check out, if there's a problem you'll have to pay even if you're not responsible. It is also worth mentioning that at check-in they retain the equivalent of R$ 350.00 on the credit card to pay for any damages that the guest may possibly cause to the room, and this amount is refunded after the employee verifies that everything is in order in the room. time of check-out. Despite understanding the logic of the practice, this causes a somewhat annoying situation for those who stay and are caught by surprise when checking in. In short, although my stay was good, I probably wouldn't go back due to the situation with the undue water charge, which really upset us.
