Long story short: First time in Barcelona. I was suppose to stay here 4/30-5/4. Check in hours are 3PM-7PM. I arrived at 5PM and told that my room was not ready. Went out, came back, room still was not ready. Room was not finished until almost 9PM. I went out to explore, came back and room key did not work on room. It did work on the neighbors room. The manager had given me the wrong key. Tried to call her numerous times to inform her that I was locked out. She never responded. So spent the whole night locked out. Fast forward to noon, she finally picks up. I tell her the issue. She comes in at 12:47PM, with no sense of urgency. Next thing she checks my key and tried to claim she doesn’t know why I have a key to someone else’s room and basically saying that it wasn’t her fault. The neighbor had both of her keys but they did not work because the keys I received were for her room. The manager did not take ANY accountability for her mistake and having me stranded the entire night. I ended up asking for a full refund and staying somewhere else. STAY AWAY!!!

This is a tough one to review. It's a bed&breakfast, only NO breakfast. They don't clean the rooms anytime, but it was very clean when we arrived. The front door bell doesn't work. I mean, the street door to the building's entrance to the bed&NObreakfast, is inside a residential building. We had to slip in when someone came out of the building. The craziest thing ever... The phone number given for the hotel IS NEVER ANSWERED. Thank G the keys WORKED so we didn't have to find out later what would happen if we came back in the middle of the night. The weirdest place I've ever been to. The owner/carer seems robotic, dissembling with weird answers when I confronted her on the problems. I literally called the phone in front of her, the phone lights showed it worked, but had no sound. Truth, the room and bathroom are great, the location also, BUT I would never stay there again. It had a weird vibe, which one doesn't want during a vacation. Really, tons of other places on the same street.

My wife and I arrived to Barcelona, Spain early Tuesday morning. We booked our room with The 8, and then took a Taxi from the airport to the resort. Cost was about $27 Euro. Upon arrial we were a bit confused on where to go, but was delighted with the secured entry and the friendly guests. After making our way to the Lobby we were greated by the Owner/Operator who was more than accomodating being that it was only 10am and she led us to our room. The feeling the moment you step into the Lobby is a mix if modern contemporary meets the Gothic district which was amazing. Everything was clean, well laid out and worked perfectly. Thank you so much for the hospitality and the clean resort. If we are in Spain again we will be sure to stay at The 8 again!
