Great place for a small room to sleep in and get freshened up for the day! Unfortunately the posted bar and coffee shop were not operating and the rooftop patio did not seem accessible when we tried. The rooms are very well appointed but found them to be claustrophobic for two people as it had no windows to the outside and no room to really move around. Might have been fine for one person. Just be aware when staying. Room was very clean tho. Despite the lack of staff, the lockers were helpful for pre and post check in. Staff was very responsive when contacting through the app.

I've stayed here before so I knew what to expect. I was a solo traveller in one of the double rooms, for 5 nights. On my second stay here, I remain impressed by how compact everything is and how everything has a purpose. My room was clean and I was grateful to be on the 2nd floor, with only one flight of stairs to haul my full-size suitcase up. There is ample storage under the bed for even a full-size suitcase, which I had no trouble unpacking. I was in TO for fun but I had to work remotely during the day. The tiny bedside table worked okay for that and the wifi was strong. I did not try the tv. There are extra supplies in a central location, if you need to restock, and a large shared garbage bin in that area, but of course no cleaning service during your stay (unless you pay). The fridge kept my things quite chilled, to the point of having ice crystals. The toilet was a bit glitchy and the outside keypad had the numbers quite worn down. I would appreciate some sort of air freshener since all odors are quite noticeable in such a small space. But overall, I was happy with my stay. The location is fantastic. I've stayed in many different hotels in TO and this one will always remain a contender as long as the price is right.

Rooms are tiny. There is no space for a suitcase. Lockers are always occupied. There is no elevator. Great location. Pretty much everything is walking distance. Wouldn’t come back

This is the 4th Sonder I have stayed at and this one is more on the bottom of that list. Starting with the greats, this Sonder's location is everything. It is right in the heart of Queen street, with a lot of shopping and dining options nearby. It is a short walk to China town which is about a 10 min walk away. It is also right on the train car line, and it is a 7 min walk away from Osgoode station.The bathrooms were very clean and well taken care of. I don't like interacting with people so the check in process with the app was and still is seamless. Now for the downsides: The rooms are way too small. If you have a room with a window you can probably get away with two guests comfortably. I went with the smaller room which advertises it can fit 2 guests which is technically true with the bed size, but you will not be comfortable with 2 people in room. It is very cramped with no real area to lay out your suitcases or bags. The space is extremely cramped, and the lack of windows doesn't help with how the room feels. The washroom is only separated by a sliding door so you can hear your travel partner do everything in there. The floor in my room in particular (#45) also looks like it need replacing. With all above said, if you are visiting Toronto and are only looking for a place to sleep and keep your things this may be a great, affordable option for you. If you like spending a little bit more time in your rooms, opt for the larger room with the window or a different place to stay entirely.
