We stayed there on our first night, we arrived early in the morning and the man at reception let us use the showers of the spa as our room wouldn't be ready before 2pm. He gave us towels and soap. We could leave our luggage in a special room which gave us an opportunity to go and enjoy the city. Our room was very spacious, a balcony looked upon the sky tower. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great location, friendly staff. The bed was very low with an uncomfortable mattress, no pillow top, but we were told it was due to be replaced. The bathroom was in need of updating with a shower over the bath. I was a bit worried when I realised it was also residential apartments, but it didn't affect our stay and the location, views, and size of the apartment made up for any slight issues.

Great location at a good price, but it all goes downhill after that. Checked in and received a swipe card that doesn’t work. Room was booked for 3 people so extra bed was supposed to be set up for our daughter - it was not. Even after room service came through and made our room up they still only gave us two towels, even though it was obvious there were three of us in the room. No information book in the room so we couldn’t even work out what number to dial for reception. Broken shards of glass on the balcony. Air con does not work. Temperature does not adjust - so it’s either freezing if it’s turned on or too hot when turned off. Staff were nice to deal with but there just seems to be something going wrong here.

The whole place is in desperate need of an upgrade. Good bones but the carpet and furnishings all seem to be at least 20 years old and have clearly never undergone a thorough deep clean. The couch was dirty and very worn, thread bare in places. The bath had enamel chipped off and was about the length of my leg - no way could someone have a relaxing soak in there. Couldn't move in the shower without smacking an elbow into the wall. Bathroom taps dripping. Even simple things like providing a nespresso machine goes a long way to guest comfort and costs next to nothing. "You get what you pay for" rings true here, and yes it's cheap accommodation in the middle of town but honestly I could've paid $60 to stay in a backpackers for the same level of comfort. I won't be back.
