Beautiful hotel, only 6 or 7 minutes walk to York Minster and the city centre. Car parking is available on site for £15 a day. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfasts were amazing, great selection. The room was a good size, with nice toiletries, kettle, iron, hairdryer and robes. Not sure about the bath in the bedroom, but each to their own! Would definitely stay again

Great characterful hotel. Situated 5 minutes walk from York City Castle Wall. Location is great as its bias towards the Minister side of the city. Staff are very attentive, with excellent service that added to the stay. Room was a good size and had a separate roll top bath within the room. Ensuite was dated but we were informed it was getting replaced in a couple of weeks. Parking was available within the grounds. Hotel bar was small however staff were friendly and quick at serving. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

It is genuinely a lovely place. All staff are super friendly. The food is of high quality and proportions are just right. Lovely atmosphere too, beautiful building. As a local, not tried the hotel but I love the place.
