Worst hotel I ever stayed at! Small room, rude front desk and the bathroom smelled like sewage all the time. The toilet was impossible to flush. And they charged 50RMB for a small powder stain on the old torn sheet. Just do not go, ever as a backpacker you will have plenty of better choices in the city!

The classic hotel is located behind Yonghegong Street (with many shops and restaurants nearby), in Beixin Hutong, a common small alley in Beijing. It only takes 2 minutes to walk to Yonghegong subway station. This is my first time to China. I stayed here for the first 10 days and was very satisfied. The hotel is comfortable and beautiful. The staff are friendly, speak English, and the service is good. The room is classically decorated, air-conditioned, clean and comfortable, with TV, free wifi, shower, toothbrush and slippers. The hotel provides maps, good travel suggestions, bicycle rentals, and delicious food...
