Was worried after booking and read the reviews. Glad didn't cancel as our stay was fantastic! Very spacious room and extremely comfortable bed, definitely helped us with much needed sleep. Other guests, esp if tourists, need to understand this is a very old building...and for the same size would easily be over £500 a night if everything was ripped out and given a more modern touch. We paid no less than £ 230/ night ...and that is a bargain over the last week of holidays. Location was the key, our favourite restaurants were only 5 to 10 min walk. We also had a thoughtful visit from Housekeeping to check if the room is all to our satisfaction. Room temperature was good, air conditioner worked and reason windows have been reinforced with new permanent ones is for UK Health and Safety and probably insurance. The two lovely young receptionists were also commendable, very mature and professional (didn't get their names unfortunately - Fri late evening check in) Security/doormen always gives us a stern look when we walk in and this is probably because we don't dress "flashy" enough, and all we can do is smile at them and usually they smile back. They're doing their job at the end of the day. All in all, a really good stay and value for money with location and looking forward to our next visit!

Without hesitation our stay was 5 stars! The hotel itself is beautiful, both inside and out. I read some reviews complaining about the rooms. We loved ours, the character, colors, decor, and bathroom were wonderful. The bed was extremely comfy for our week stay! The buffet breakfast in the Terrace was perfect. The gym is an actual gym with top of the line equipment. The pool is amazing. As you can see, we loved The Dilly. It also happens to have the best location in all of London. If we come back to London we are staying here again without hesitation!!

A very nice hotell with the best location ever. We stayed 6 nights, a family trip with three generations (ages 12-81). Rooms are outdated but a major renovation is planned for next year and after that this hotel will be at the very top of London hotels. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Anything you missed you could ask for and it would be brought to you. Breakfast was very nice and the food quality was excellent. The breakfast room is a bit noisy so go there earlier for a quieter experience. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. We asked for some room changes at the last minute and the reception managed to rearrange everything to suit us . A special thanks to Henry (the King) who really went out of his way to make sure we got the perfect rooms for our family. He even got us one room with two bathrooms and only a family with two teens understands the luxury of that. We loved our stay at The Dilly. We felt at home and appreciated as guests which is rare in larger hotels today. I can't wait to go back.
