I would describe this Sonder as aThe best thing about this place is that it is centrally located and well connected. The service was good and the staff were helpful. They definitely do things differently. No drinking water was provided in the rooms and one is expected to drink tap water. This shouldn't be the case. It'd be nice to give your customers a choice on the type and quality of water they drink. The room itself was small but that's not a problem. Many hotels have the same size rooms. The bathroom is equally space deficient but you should be able to manage fine. It was clean and satisfactory in everything else. I would visit again.

I made a terrible mistake in selecting this spot for last weekend's visit to Dublin. My first mistake was not paying as close attention to the price as I should have -- it is literally 5 X's more expensive than it should be (explanation to follow). The rooms are incredible small a poorly appointed. The bathroom is worse -- do not expect to be able to turn around in the shower. The bed was one of the worst I have ever "slept" on -- maybe a function of the 200 thread count plastic bedding and the least expensive mattress money can buy. You will likely wake up in a full sweat given how the bedding / mattress conspire to gather and retain all heat from your body. Somehow I overlooked the "no air conditioning" clause in the contract -- probably a function of being unable to imagine a place charging this much could possible to address that issue. The fact that a pipe burst and there was no water one morning wasn't really a massive hassle but it did seem fitting for this place. Trying to get the attention of the staff is next to impossible and I am not sure that they are there to do anything in particular for the guests -- they were virtually worthless but pleasant enough. (NOTE: The fellow that came to the room to explain the water situation was most pleasant.) As an earlier post noted, the noise level is bad at night with the cars and the people gathering on the corner to wrap up a late night at the pubs. Nice location though near St. Stephen's Green but that is the ONLY redeeming quality. I would avoid at all cost unless the price dropped to $160 per night.

Do not stay here. The windows were not doubled glazed and so we had two terrible nights sleep with all the noise from the area. We were given room 104 which you can see from the map is far smaller than the others on the floor and so the room was mostly taken up by the bed. I had to send a scan of my face and passport before arriving, a more onerous verification process than for the bank account I set up recently. Their customer services team are dismissive and don’t want to know. This stay was so not worth the price. I just think the whole concept of Sonder is not great. It’s a cross between a hotel and Airbnb with the worst aspects of both and none of the benefits of either.

Not happy with my stay at all! The room was unbearably hot, which is just not okay when there is no air conditioning. I was provided with a fan upon request after my sleepless first night which helped somewhat. On a side note the staff were as helpful and polite as they could be. No room service during a 5 night stay was quite baffling to me. Not even the bin in my room was emptied. The room was pretty small and the bed was very uncomfortable. There was a small tv in the corner of the room (very far away from the bed). There was a coffee machine but the coffee was very bad. The bathroom is tiny. It is a very quiet hotel which may suit some. However, I found that it lacked any sort of atmosphere and felt quite depressing. I don’t recommend at all- many better options at this price range.

Terrible value overall. It's in the same price range as other hotels, but: - The rooms are very small - No housekeeping during the stay - Old windows letting in all the noise - Squeaky floor board, you can here every step above you loud and clear during the night. During the first night, I woke up 3-4 times to the loud squeaky foot steps, which is ridiculous. I got ear plugs for the rest of the stay to be able to get some sleep... You absolutely don't get what you pay for here
