Only positive things to say about this hotel! The staff are extremely helpful and were really friendly with our young children. We tried almost all the breakfast sets - all were good but the ‘rice set’ was our favourite. The room was big enough for two adults and two small children. We found the Japanese style beds comfortable. In the evenings we appreciated being able to eat food bought outside at the communal tables downstairs. We also used the bath, laundry, and luggage forwarding services. The location is also great, easy to get on the metro and also walkable from Ueno. The quiet streets around - and playground - were handy with the kids. Would definitely come back!

Second time staying here for more than a week. The hotel is super clean and cozy with a lot of traditional Japanese touches. But that is nothing compared to the team running the place. They are the friendliest people you can wish for. Service is outstanding. They always great you with a smile and take an effort to know you and your wishes. I would definitely stay here for a third time!

The people running this place are the friendliest ever. Of course everything is clean and there are many charming traditional aspects in this hotel that you won’t find in too many other places. The neighborhood is quiet and you need to check if the metro and JR lines are the right ones for your trip. Note that sleeping in the traditional room is not suitable for people needing a soft bed.
