The Hazelton Hotel has been my go to spot whenever I’m in Toronto for a long time but I hadn’t been in a while. My partner and I’s experience yesterday was even better than I remember it in the past. The level of customer service is beyond flawless, every single person I encountered from the valet to management went above and beyond. Even the cleaners were offering warm greetings and offering beverages, additional chocolates or anything they could possibly help with. Beyond that the facilities are second to none. I cannot stress how pleased I am with my experience, I know ownership changed recently and whoever is managing the facility currently is doing an exceptional job. Also do yourself a favour and grab food from One Restaurant, absolutely tremendous, props to Chef and his team!

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights, the staff was very accommodating and courteous. The facilities are top tier and the spa is very well kept. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good, but the dinner was overpriced for the amount of food given. Victoria at the front desk was especially lovely. Thank you for making our the stray of our wedding trip so memorable, we will definitely be back.

I didn’t stay in the hotel, this review is for the restaurant only. This is the place to see beautiful wealthy people in Toronto. For straight up people watching it really can’t be beat. Service is good and the atmosphere is what you’d expect. For the best people watching my friend, a local, recommends the long side of the outdoor patio. The food, however was not worth what they charge. It wasn’t bad, in fact, it was very good. But for the price, and the hype, I would have expected a little more than a very average and generic upscale restaurant menu. My own meal was good, the Caesar salad was no better than you could get at, say an Applebee’s, the tuna sashimi was very good, but much more expensive than most sushi, restaurants, it really would have been a more appropriate appetizer. My dessert was just so heavy without any tart counterpoint to balance it that I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. So, if you have a large wallet, are happy with good enough, food and love people watching this is your place.

Stayed one night during July 2023. Check-in process took entirely too long. Our credit card has a bad chip and we told the lady at the desk she would have to process the card with a swipe or manually entry for it to work. She still tried numerous times to make the chip work, then said she was not allowed to swipe a card nor manually enter the information so we would have to use another credit card. We have never, ever been told we have to use another card. I was not expecting a high end place like this to have issues with our card, seeing has how all other vendors, even fast food establishments, can figure it out. The only thing exceptional about the room was the size of the luggage/closet area and the bathroom amenities. The bed and desk area are nothing special and quite small. The bed mattress was overly worn and sagging in the middle, making for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The toilet paper was so thin you could see through it. During our visit the spa/gym, it took 5 attempts and assistance from 2 hotel staff members to get us to the spa/gym floor. We were informed the elevator often malfunctions and causes issues getting to this area. It was very frustrating. The doorman was very friendly and always there to assist and chat with us. We brunched at the hotel restaurant and the service was good, the atmosphere was good, the food was ok. The hotel is in a walkable area for plenty of shops and restaurants. Felt like a safe area. If I return to Toronto, I would find elsewhere to stay as this hotel is overpriced for what is provided.
