It depends what you are looking for. It's very much a working mans pub, or suits someone who wants to watch sports. When I stopped in for a swift one after a long dog walk, I was made to feel very welcome as was the pooch. I was the only female other than the barmaid. It's my local. Not a relax on a date atmosphere, finished on the building site and fancy a couple before going home maybe.

My son lives on Luckwell Road, so I thought I’d pop in to watch a match. I’m from Yorkshire so I didn’t understand what most of the locals were talking about, but really enjoyed the atmosphere.
