Yet another Excellent stay at this Hotel. You are made most welcome by the pleasant staff at reception. The Rooms are spacious and clean. I even had a Xmas Tree in my Room. The Food in the Restaurant is always delicious and well presented as well as being reasonably priced. Definitely my favorite Dublin Hotel.

A budget friendly hotel with an amazing breakfast. We snagged a great deal during a Black Friday sale for an upcoming family trip to Dublin. While the location is a bit far from City Centre and tricky to find, the hotel is located 10 minutes from the train station, which takes you where you want to be. The breakfast was fantastic - buffet style (served in line), with additional cold items on the side. The rooms were a bit dated and could use some refreshing, but they were comfortable. Definitely recommended if you have a vehicle to get around in, or don't mind a 10 minute walk to catch a train.

The customer service was excellent, but the room was not what I expected from the description. The pillows were so stiff and hard, the rain falling onto the metal window sill made the sleep impossible. Otherwise, the room was warm, with no noise from other rooms, floors, or corridor . The bath is okay, but taking a shower in it almost impossible as the shower head was too close to the wall and the built-in shelf didn't help that either. We could not flush the toilet most times because the push-in flusher didn't work, I nearly dislocated my thumb. No socket for your own hairdryer or the straightener near the mirror. Early check in at 2 and late check out at 12 is a huge bonus.

Apparently charge a very expensive deposit based off your age and what you look like, very discriminative behaviour. Attended once and was charged no deposit, attended a second time and was charged with an attempted 400 euro deposit, twice more expensive then the room itself. Was told they don't accept debit cards, only credit cards even though I booked online on their website with a debit card, no issues, to then be asked out loud if I "have enough money to pay the deposit". very horrifying. upon checkout left standing in the lobby for 30-40 minutes while they checked the room to see if I "was eligible for my deposit refund", once again saying this out loud in front of other guests who were simply dropping their cards at the desk and checking out at ease. I do not recommend, unless you want to feel belittled and judged. Bare in mind I'm a 21 year old, student nurse, was going up to enjoy a night away, not "rough looking", very respectful and to be treated like that is beyond a joke.

We stayed for one night for a family funeral. On a positive note, the formal sit down meal was orchestrated very smoothly with attentiveness and friendliness. This was in strong contrast to the rest of our experience. Prior to arriving I enquired as to whether it would be beneficial to book breakfast in advance if there was a reduced charge. The response was that I can book it there. No information on costs or what was available. The reception and bar staff seem to have forgotten how to smile. Greetings were cold and unfriendly. We arrived a little early and so enquired about checking in early to be told abruptly "you'll have to pay a charge". I may have been willing to pay if I had felt welcomed, or even received a "hello". The reception and bar was full of fruit flies which would land on the rim of your glass and needed constant swatting away. There was a local event which caused a continuous stream of people checking in. Often the front desks were so short of staff, the check in process when our time came was so lengthy we didn't get a key for an hour after check in time. The hotel was also extremely stuffy and warm upstairs. Over all, it was similar to a budget hotel as far as quality, but three times the price.
