The hotel has a bar within with loud music in the evening until ~1am. This is definitely annoying if you plan to rest before that time. The place is very nicely located with spacious bedrooms and a very welcoming staff. I assume that not all rooms experience noise issues but with my personal experience I can't recommend this place. Without the noise I would have rated this place a 5 star.

This was the worst hotel I've ever experienced in terms of customer service, definitely not a five star experience.The charger on the bed was broken, we were rudely told to buy a charger when asking for a charging plug. We called several times asking for more water and milk for the coffee pods in our room, only to be charged for it. I said good morning/afternoon to staff three separate times, only to be glared at and ignored. On checkout, the front desk double charged me and I spent 30 minutes trying to explain to them and showed them my receipts, only for them to blame me for using a third party booking site. The bar was beautiful, and the gong bath was spectacular--these are the only redeeming qualities.

This was an avant garde meets gothic revival atmosphere. The rooms were dark and mine had a strange feature that would allow me to share myself showering with my neighbor by flipping a switch and turning the glass between the two bathrooms “transparent “. I don’t even want to see myself naked. Much less my neighbor. How strange. The place was full of surprises. At 60, we were the oldest guests of the hotel. The staff was attentive and the restaurant food was exceptional. Overall, a very nice experience.

I attended a music event here. The location is amazing, the atmosphere and the vibe in general is great; however, they were charging £22 for a tiny glass of gin and tonic that looked and tasted like a cheap pub gin and tonic. And, believe me, there's nothing wrong with a cheap pub gin and tonic, (when it costs £10 or even £12 in Fitzrovia), but serving proper cocktails at £20 at the bar, and £22 for a simple icy drink is a complete joke. This is a great example of overrated and pretentious venues in London.
