Louder than sleeping at a music festival. We got a room with window directly facing the street. There is a pub right in front of the hotel blasting music until 3 - 5 am. We could not sleep even with earplugs, it was unbearable. Note that we are a couple in late 20s who is used to camping at big music festivals each year. But this was too much for us. Luckily we were able to change the room after couple of restless nights. In the second room the noise was bearable. Otherwise the hotel is great.

First of all, at the reception, he asked us for a deposit to return when we leave. What to do with 2000b on the last day, where to spend it? Especially since this condition was not written anywhere when I made the reservation. Then the room was very small, we almost slept with our luggage on the bed because we had nowhere to unpack them. Otherwise, the location is very good and the room is clean.

We are so surprised that people complain in reviews about this hotel and the noise. You are literally on Khao San road which is why you booked this hotel. All reviews talk about the noise so not sure why it is a surprise and people give bad review for that. Our experience was wonderful. We stayed for 5 nights. When we checked in it was close to New Years Eve and the hotel was very full. The wonderful staff offered us the choice of 2 rooms. One was smaller but in a quieter room or a slightly bigger room that faced the street and was louder. This is our a Khao San experience so we chose the slightly larger room with a window that opened to the infamous street. For reference, we are in our early 50’s, we are not typically the party all night couple but we absolutely enjoyed our experience on this street. The Hotel seems updated . Our room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable, the shower remained hot, the furniture was modern and functional, great size refrigerator. There is a 7-11 directly across the street. You can buy your beer/spirits there and literally walk down the street with your own drinks for half the price. Everything you need is in walking distance. The staff at hotel were fantastic. We did not have any problems sleeping. The windows were double paned. Yes, the music starts about 8pm and gets increasingly louder until 2 or 3. If you open the window it is extremely loud. Otherwise, sure, you will hear the music … but isn’t that why you came to Khao San Road? If we were to return to Khao San Road we would stay here again, no question.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. i suggested you go find other hotels nearby instead of this one. There are many other good hotels nearby which have good prices and good service. I went there last night and the receptionist was so rude. the ladyboy receptionist kicked us out and was yelling at us. We spoke to them very nicely, but their facial expressions are so bad. I brought my friends from Nepal there. Thought it was a nice hotel, but it’s not. I felt so bad for taking my friends there. not recommended at all.
