Had my civil wedding here recently my husband I were both extremely happy but most importantly our guest were really happy. The service was exceptional the food was enjoyed by everyone and highly complimented. We opted for an afternoon tea which was the perfect choice I shall def go back just for the afternoon tea. For those who stayed were comfortable and really enjoyed the breakfast. I am so happy that we made the right choice and chose Pinewood Hotel for our special day

Stayed here just for one night in a single room but with a party of 4 people. The room was clean and tidy and had everything needed but was obviously small as was a true single. Great car parking, makes a change from tiny narrow marked bays, this was a large plot. The dinning room was more bistro than fine dinning, I think they called it a Brasserie, but the Pizza’s were fabulous with a proper wood fired pizza oven. Definitely recommend them as they were a good size as well. The other dinners I saw were also well sized with the chicken and chips being a half of chicken per person. Wine was a bit expensive but then everywhere is getting that way now. The waitress was quick and very attentive and got the meals right for each person when serving - I hate it when they come out asking who’s dinner belong to who when they have taken the order. Breakfast was also very generous servings and freshly cooked rather than self service. Not much of a bar area for drinks, after dinner, though. Would have liked to have sat somewhere with friends and had a catch up with a whisky. All in all quite good value for money and handy if you are visiting Pinewood studio events.

There is no way this is a 4* hotel. This may have been a reasonable place a number of years ago, however there seems to have been very little care or maintenance for quite some time. When I first entered the room I was greeted with a series of delightful stains on the floor. The chair in the room was very worn and the leg was broken so it couldn’t be sat in. I was told there weren’t any other rooms available, even though I could still book on their website. A number of guests were having trouble with heating and hot water. Judging by other reviews, this seems to be a long standing issue. Bar and restaurant close quite early for a hotel. There is only a 2h window for breakfast, so if you need to be up early or want to sleep in, you will likely miss breakfast. They also have the audacity to charge £5 if you misplace your plastic key card. Staff are mediocre and not particularly welcoming. On check out the receptionist didn’t say a single a word to me. Gave 2* as the restaurant food is actually half decent, if you manage to get in whilst it’s open.

We had our Christmas Work Party last night. We booked because of the great time we had last year. Unfortunately, it wasn't a repeat performance. We sat down for dinner at 7:15pm and finally finished our dessert at 10pm! Food was OK once it arrived, but we waited so long for it. The staff weren't attentive and were quite dismissive and nothing seemed to get done unless it was done by the one guy who seemed to be in charge and he just seemed to be trying to do everything himself, of which he didn't succeed. The DJ wasn't a patch on last years and his constant jumping from genre to genre and his need to scratch on his decks to every song was interesting! The strangest part of the night was the announcement made by this 'Pinewood one man band' that "four people have been sick now and if one more person is, that's it! Something you can't say to a room full of mixed groups! Sorry, but the change in quality over a year is not acceptable and wasn't value for money at all. Disappointing after standards set so high the previous year.

We attended for a Christmas party night. The dining room was absolutely full to the brim of tables. We queued at the bar for approximately 20 mins to get a drink. There was one barman! It's totally unacceptable. The food was mass produced and cold, one of our colleagues had waited ages for his meal. My Christmas pudding tasted like bread and butter pudding, and the custard was burnt! The waiting staff were quite rude. They obviously were not happy in their job. We stayed in the hotel overnight, and we were given a room right at the top of the hotel. I have mobility problems, and the lift was not working. We were not offered an alternative! The full english breakfast was lovely. Unfortunately, the coffee was cold, and the orange juice was watered down. My husband asked for a latte but was told by the only waiter that he was cleaning the machine so he would have to have percolated coffee! The Pinewood Hotel used to be a lovely place. Our daughter got married there 11 years ago. We certainly won't be going back again. Very disappointing 😞
