Not sure this hotel met my value for money expectations. I booked for a special occasion for a long weekend. Everything is pretty basic. For a 4* hotel, there were not enough basics - like bathroom amenities. The room was small like a 2* bed & breakfast and was listed as XL in my booking. Definitely not was was advertised in the booking photo's. Also it always leaves a stale feeling when one check-in guest gets treated "way better" than the next: the couple checking in after us where overwhelmingly greeted - with "oh we have one of the best rooms for you".

A cozy and quite hotel located closely to the historic center of Cologne 10min away front the Cathedral. The breakfast for the price of 12Euros was OK I was lucky to have a room with an A/C, otherwise most of the rooms are without one, I stayed in August can’t say it was necessary, but it was a nice thing to have. Would definitely stay here once again

Beautifully refurbished building in Central Cologne. Lovely public areas but rooms basic, quirky. Very odd service - reception and breakfast not open until 0800? Continental breakfast only. Bar a complete miss. Get the impression this more an event space than a hotel.

Absolutely stunning building, beautiful inside and outside, designer furniture and so on. There’s nothing else though. The staff leaves at 18:00, you come in with your own key, which was a nice experience, but you expect to have at least some service for that kind of money. Breakfast is outsourced and very very basic, so you need to decide in advance what are you going to eat. If you want to add an egg to your croissant in the morning, you won’t be allowed to do that, and you’ll be informed about that in a very stern tone. If you have any trouble with your booking you’ll have to deal with it yourself. Staff isn’t very eager to help, they just give you the key and charge money. You don’t feel welcomed at all. So basically it is a very beautiful place, where they allow you to sleep, i couldn’t call it a *hotel*. The price for that kind of service is a bit ridiculous.
