The only thing they have going for them is the price, but they really do justice to the maxim "you get what pay for". Well, in our case we actually didn't get the little we paid for, but you know what I mean. Sure, it's cheap, but our room was dusty and cold (even with the heater on). The fact that ours was the traditional tatami style room and we were supposed to lay down at ground level definitely didn't help the dust and cold situations. But what was unacceptable was the size. Don't be fooled by the high amplitude pictures, the room is way smaller than it appears, even for Japanese standards. I guess it's okay for two people, but they sell it as a three-person room, and there simply wasn't enough floor space for three mattresses. Perhaps that's why one mattress was missing. Well, I mean, in their words, when we contacted them, the third mattress wasn't "missing", apparently we had mistaken the third mattress for a blanket, but it just happened to be a mattress that was thinner than the other mattresses AND blankets... In any case, if that lousy blanket really was the mattress, then we were missing a blanket, so... whatever. Even if we had all three mattresses, they could never fit without having two of them half under the cabinet (ridiculously uncomfortable and a little gross), or one of them half out the tatami area, at a different level. Both of these possibilities are plain stupid. We spent over a month traveling in Japan and stayed at more than ten hotels in several cities, always on the cheap, but this was the only one we just gave up on, left and found a new place to stay. We simply deemed it not worth it, especially after their response to the mattress issue. I mean, not only they suggest we use a thin blanket as a mattress, they still had a room with beds available but couldn't move us there. Total waste of money.
