A boutique hotel with a grand colonial lobby/reception. It's located right within the old town, next to local convenient shops and within walking distance to the river. Large secured parking area. The rooms can afford better upkeeping. I would say it's a good change from staying at those well established hotels near the coast. Value for money.

I recently enjoyed a cozy stay at The Sterling Boutique Hotel in Melaka, and it left me thoroughly impressed. This boutique gem seamlessly combines simplicity with thoughtful amenities, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms, though simple, are equipped with all the basic necessities one could need. I appreciated the inclusion of a mini-fridge, a hairdryer, and toiletries, making my stay convenient and stress-free. Additionally, the availability of items like an iron and ironing board upon request. The hotel's cafe, while exclusively open for breakfast, given the hotel's strategic location in the heart of old town Melaka, I found it convenient to explore nearby eateries for other meals, each just a few minutes' walk away. The Sterling's location indeed stands out. Being situated in the old town allowed me to easily immerse myself in the local culture and history. Exploring the charming streets and accessing nearby attractions was a breeze, making my overall experience even more enjoyable. The staff at The Sterling deserves special mention for their warm hospitality. From check-in to check-out, they were attentive, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any request. *And kudos for discovering the phone I've accidentally left behind after checking out* In conclusion, if you're seeking a cozy retreat in the heart of Melaka with simple yet well-equipped rooms and easy access to local delights, The Sterling Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice. Good service and friendly staff. The room was spacious. Nice interior and exterior deco. The lobby was beautiful. Location was great. Walking distance to many attractive places. Parking is free for hotel guest. Definitely will repeat again! #This is our 2nd time staying here!
