We stayed here for one week. We've had a breathtaking view to the 9/11-memorial and the One World Trade Center which made me really looking like for hours out of the window at any day or nighttime. The service was good. All stuff members were very friendly and made some jokes. So nothing bad to mention from this side. Once we had a problem with the sink but the service was done the next day. The rooms are comfortable and okay, could have been a bit more clean, especially the with walls were a bit used. We have booked no breakfast. Besides that the hotel stopped offering breakfast few days ago.

Wish I had read the reviews thoroughly… but do not stay here. The rooms are dirty (food crumbs on the floor, mould, lots of dust everywhere), outdated and have many scruff marks all over the walls and furniture (looks run down). I had to switch rooms because I booked a corner king room but I had a horrible view of construction sites, which I’m glad I did since I got a view of the memorial. The view was decent but does not make up for the dirty room!

DO NOT STAY HERE. This is my first bad review of a hotel over the last 12 years I've been traveling. The hotel advertises luxury rooms, but fail to note that those are only the renovated rooms, which they have very few of. So, clearly this is false advertisement compared to what you get. My wife and I found black mold riddled throughout the shower, and the whole room was completely beat up. There was also a MASSIVE stain on the bed. When I brought this up to the manager, I was informed how we were in an older room and most of them are that way. The only option I was given in recourse was to cancel my stay. Obviously this was not helpful. I called Wyndham directly and they have also yet to resolve the issues that occurred. My wife and I had to stay in our disgusting room for one night. We ended up booking another hotel the following night and ate the cost. I would never recommend this place to anyone. At this point in time, I'll never stay at another Wyndham because of this experience. Update: I got in touch with the Wyndham Executive team and they ended up refunding me for my full stay. The process took a month and a half. This property, not operated by Wyndham but owned by them, was everything but helpful during that. Wyndham did do the right thing in the end, but this property, and their management\refunds team didn't.

We stayed in a corner king room, which was spacious, especially for New York, and had a gorgeous view of the 9/11 memorial. The room was a bit dated and could've used some TLC (bathroom door didn't slide well, etc), but it was really clean. The lobby was really interesting with all the art, and it had a lot of space to lounge. We had booked a room that included breakfast, which they stop serving before our stay (without mentioning it to us at all). We had prepaid for the room that included breakfast, but they didn't mention anything when we checked in. I saw on a flyer in the lobby later that they stopped serving it, and when I asked the front desk they said all they could do was refund us $16 total for the discontinuation, but the difference in the rate we prepaid was more than that, so it didn't really make up for anything. The location was great though, surrounded by restaurants and an easy walk to wall street and battery park. There is even a restaurant and bar on the first floor (hotel lobby is fifth floor, so no worries about noise).

Verdict: This hotel is not 4-stars as claimed, but 2 stars at best. Unless you need to stay near the WTC, you would be better off staying somewhere else. The Good: - Large, spacious rooms - Fantastic view of 9/11 Memorial and One World Trade Center depending on which room you get The Bad: - When I arrived to my room after checking in the door was already open. As a solo female traveler this is a major safety concern. - Moldy bathroom that had a strong urine smell. I wonder how much rooms are cleaned between guests. - $2 per bag fee to store your luggage after checking out. I have NEVER experienced this in any hotel I've stayed at. - Inattentive staff who did not answer basic questions about my reservation - No kettle/coffee machine in rooms, although there is a water fountain in the lobby. - Housekeeping will enter your room at 8am unless you have a Do Not Disturb sign and your door is bolted.
