I had the pleasure of staying at the Wellesley Hotel Knightsbridge for three nights in September, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the warm and attentive staff made me feel like a valued guest. The hotel's luxurious ambiance and elegant decor immediately set the tone for a memorable stay. My room was beautifully appointed with every amenity I could wish for, including a comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. The highlight of my stay, however, was the impeccable service provided by the staff. The team at the Wellesley went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a top-tier hotel experience in London. My stay here was truly unforgettable, and I look forward to returning in the future. A Luxury Collection hotel near Hyde park corner. The hotel has little more than 30 well-appointed rooms. They are well-designed too (plenty of power outlets) but not in perfect working order. In my room the shower temperature jumped from "quite cool" to "scalding hot". The breakfast is standard, not exceptional. Some of the pastry was very dry, as if from the previous day. What sets this hotel apart is the very disappointing service. For instance, at breakfast the waitress insisted that we sat at a tiny table for 2, rather than a roomier one, even if the dining room was practically deserted (one more person besides us) and no one joined. As we sat down, we were asked if we wanted water, and we later discovered that it was not included in the breakfast price (rather, they charged 6.50£+ 12.5% service for it). The staff's courtesy comes across as affectation, as every time an issue was mentioned nothing substantial was done to address it. For instance, the sneaky charge for the water was not removed after we pointed it out. When the issue with the shower was highlighted, the staff said that "had we known, we could have sent someone to explain to you how to operate the shower" which felt more than a little condescending. The hotel has a complimentary chauffeur service, within a 1.5 miles radius, but it cannot be used if one has "luggage" (one piece of cabin hand-luggage). This lack of flexibility, and the lack of recognition of Marriott bonvoy elite members (unlike other Luxury Collection properties) makes me sure not to return unless the prices are a bargain. I would not pay more than 170£ for a standard room in this hotel. (And this stay, though paid in points, was much more costly) The photo shows the rather nice decor of on of the corridors.

Egotistical, money hungry Manager. Cigar lounge was 10/10, Location is amazing, food and drinks were outstanding, the two waiters who served me and my friend were also very good. However, the manager. At first he spoke to me like I was doing him a favour by visiting the cigar lounge, very egotistical, and from the rest of the reviews on here I can see I’m not the only one who’s experienced this. They have a minimum spend of £25 at the cigar terrace and £50 after 11pm, and I clearly heard him tell the waitress “make that table over there stay past 11pm” as he pointed at a table or about 4 people. Pretty weird if you ask me. Why would you want to squeeze more money out of these individuals when it does not Benefit you in any way? Will definitely be my last time at the Wellesley.
