We had a lovely 2 nights stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, so close to the popular attractions and what we wanted to cover. The room was spacious and clean. What takes the cake is the breakfast - it's included and it's outstanding! The best breakfast at a hotel ever! So many options, so many healthy options and so many local options. Different kinds of milk and cereal and bread and tea and juices and... And freshly made pancakes and omelettes and oatmeal and the list goes on. And they were well made and tasty. We were so glad we got to eat here two days in a row. Totally worth the price of the room.

Rooms are aging a bit by now. Great breakfast, Friendly Staff. Very clean. The rooms are not very warm in winter. Small radiators and the blinding curtains are preventing the heat from entering the room properly.

There is nothing particularly wrong with the hotel. The rooms were decent, the staff was pleasant, and the food was good. However, it was not notable in any other those categories. It was akin to a Holiday Inn or Best Western in the U.S. No frills. The location was prime, though. We did very much enjoy the location of the hotel.

I'm not sure how LGBTQ friendly this hotel is. I stayed there as part of a big tour group. We had gotten married about a week and a half prior to our stay and informed our tour group and our tour organizer had of course passed on that we were wanting one big bed and not two small beds. Unfortunately we were the only ones in our whole group who had been misassigned rooms. Our tour director tried to resolve this with the hotel but the desk staff were totally unhelpful. Our tour director was the one that resolved this, not the hotel staff, by offering to switch rooms with us, for which we were grateful. This may have all been an accident but it looks real bad when it's only the gay couple that gets placed in two single beds, everyone else gets their requested rooms, and the hotel doesn't rectify the situation. In fact I would say the desk person was very sassy and dismissive. The hotel is well placed and in walking distance of key locations in Bergen like the fish market and funicular. Rooms were nice and modern. The gym was a bit small and could have used more equipment and space.
