Generally fine, except if you are looking to leave your luggage at hotel for a few days for side trips, this toyoko inn does not have leave luggage service. You will have to rush in the morning to the jr nagoya station to find luggage lockers, especially if you have big sized luggage to store. Beware and check properly with hotel reception, else you may get a shock!

東横INN名古屋駅新幹線口 There are several Toyoko inns in Nagoya city, this one is the closest to the Nagoya station, only minutes walk from Taiko Dori exit. English is spoken here: room is fairly small but clean. Simple breakfast is included.

Location is good, not far from Nagoya station. Staff can communicate in English. However, we are annoyed by loud noise from others room, maybe the wall is too thin.

Toyoko Inn offers consistently clean rooms at reasonable rates, and this location was no different. If price is more important to you than luxury, then I recommend this chain. This particular location is extremely convenient; it's closest to the Aonami line or the Shinkansen (bullet train) so if you're travelling to Nagoya by Shinkansen and/or going to Port Messe Nagoya for an event, it doesn't get much better than this. I think my only complaint was how busy it was when I checked in; it seems they were at capacity. As with every Toyoko Inn, free breakfast is included, but unfortunately, there was no Nagoya food (I guess most Japanese people would consider it too heavy for breakfast?)
