Really friendly place for locals and foreigners. The skewers are really reasonable and cooked very well. Only thing is they are a bit on the small side, so be prepared to eat a lot if you’re hungry!

We had one of our best meals in Kyoto here last night. The food is so delicious at very reasonable price. The staff are very polite and helpful. Strongly recommend.

Highly recommended! Got some chicken and other skewers (not pictured) and it was awesome with draft beer. Atmosphere is one of a calm neighborhood restaurant. The people were very friendly and we enjoyed our food very much!

Cute little shop run by a father son duo. Recommendations: chicken heart, skewer with spring onion, fried chicken wings, salad of mushrooms (actually pretty great despite the uninspiring translation), nama beer of course English menu for most items, the untranslated stuff is chicken sashimi and such which presumably most anglo audiences wouldn't go for anyway. Vegetarians who are not very picky can also have a great time as there are many grilled vegetables and salads (everything is cooked on the same grill and stored in the same fridge). Sit at the counter so you can watch the master at work! At the end he bids you good night at the door, really japanese experience :)
