Upflo Hostel

It was my first visit to Korea. New, clean room with a cozy bed. Very comfortable. Very close to a subway station ：exit 1 Seoul National University of Education, and also to Airport Bus stop. Just one thing was I found a dirt on the bed sheet. I left a message about that and they changed it immediately. I wished there was a refrigerator in the room. Overall I enjoyed staying at the hotel. Good value for money.

Upflo has been the best accommodation i’ve stayed at so far. Yes, it ACTUALLY looks like the pictures. It has the feeling of a cosy hotel and everything was very clean and the style was pretty. The beds are (for korean standards) extremely soft, comfortable and big (usually they are like small bricks, i swear.) Same goes to the pillows and blankets. The bathrooms are (again for korean standards) huge. In my room i had a separate cubicle for the toilet, as for the shower, leaving the sink and mirror open. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO FLUSH TOILET PAPER HERE. (Yes in many older places you arent allowed to do this and have to collect it in a bin (against clogging)) so this is a pro. The television worked well, offered many channels, movies and netflix and there was a fridge and air conditioner which both functioned well. The doors are locked with key cards and we got two because we shared a room. The kitchen area is upstairs where is the shared living area and the rooftop area, which all provided a good clean space to read books or a magazine (which they also offer there), cook (i never did because there are countless restaurants around) or just listen to the music playing. They also have toiletries here if you need more than they already put in your room (toilet paper, toothbrush/paste, shampoo, soap etc). The wifi works great too, but that’s the case in most of korea to be honest haha (every room has their own wifi). The staff was extremely nice and helped me so well. Theres a bakery underneath which welcomed my mornings so nicely, even when i didnt eat or drink anything there. The location was perfect for me. I’ve stayed in korea for a few months before this 3 week trip, and I personally prefer gangnam above all other areas of seoul, and seocho is a clean and quite quiet neighborhood. Around he restaurant are many cafes (i walked around the block and i think every coffee cafe chain i know was in here. Upflo is a 10/15 minute walk (or like a minute with the subway) from gangnam, and it’s around the corner of a really convenient subway station (since this subway station allows you to travel with the green (line 2) and orange (line 3) lines, which are the inner circle line (only subway which goes through seoul in a circle) and a diagonal line through seoul respectively. These lines allow you to basically get everywhere with no or just one transfer (and believe me, during the busy hours you really dont want to have to transfer often). I sincerely wish to write something that bothered me at this hostel so the review would seem more objective and believable but the quality you get for this really reasonable price is crazy. I have no doubt and book this place again in a heartbeat if i get the chance, genuinely :)
