Great place to stay at! Booked a night here on New Year’s Eve before going to other parts of Taiwan. Chose this location as it is right beside the train station (couple stops from Main Station), it is one of the cheaper options considering it’s on 31 Dec, and reviews look good on Agoda. However, just before my trip, I checked out the google reviews and got a shock of my life seeing all the horrible reviews regarding smell, noise, and bed bugs (I almost booked another hotel but decided to check it out since I was only staying for a night) To my surprise, the room smelled fine and there were no noises (maybe my room was in a good location away from the clubs). Water was hot and didn’t take long to warm up. Staff were friendly and check in was smooth and quick! The lift has the usual club smoke and alcohol smell but the hotel lobby and room were fine. Giving it 4/5 as they could improve on the cleanliness.

I just stay here because of the price and location. Super convenient spot - MRT is literally right outside, and it's very central. Lots of food everywhere. But the room itself is just okay. Smells like a combo of smoke (from the downstairs bar) and mustiness. Walls are thin so bring earplugs just incase. Shower has good water pressure, though! Check in at anytime.

The room smells like smoke even though the whole hotel is no-smoking. The hotel is located above an adult night club and you can hear the singing till 6am ish. The worst part is the potential fire hazard issue. The night club below is smoking allowed and the stair to the ground floor seems full of stuff. In other words, if there is fire in the lower level, the guests in the hotel can't escape easily no matter how good the hotel follows the regulations. I felt so uneasy to stay here with my family and asked my family members to check the stair to make sure no fire happened in the middle of the night.
