Ventus di Milo

This hotel has quality construction (wood, stone, rattan, etc). Also, the view is gorgeous. The sunrise there is just beautiful. But ultimately, the hotel just wasn't for me and I wouldn't return: - There is 0 signage to help find the place. We rented a car and used Google maps, and we were sent in circles. We stopped people to ask where it was, but no one had heard of it -- inc at a nearby gas station. We finally had to phone the hotel. What a way to start our vacation in Milos. Tania, the reception desk attendant at the time, graciously came where we were and we followed her back to the hotel. The hotel is down an unnamed dirt road, up a hill. Even one sign from the hotel would help. - The staff is nice enough, but they need some polish. For instance, I was supposed to get 2 fresh beach towels each day. We arrived at about 5:00 pm. So the next morning, I used the provided towels--but I had received no replacement towels when I came home that afternoon. I phoned the front desk and got a mild lecture on how the limit is 2 daily--- but I was calling because I never received my 2 towels for that day. The receptionist acted as if I was getting a favor when she sent me 2 towels. From that point, my towels were not replaced. I called once again and got them, but I got sick of that being my responsibility and I never received fresh beach towels again. Also, I would order cappuccinos in the afternoon sometimes, and my dirty cup would stay on my patio until the next morning when I got breakfast. That might be understandable if the staff were overwhelmed, but there are just 6 units and for most of the time we were there, most units were empty. Staff (inc the manager) hung at the pool at times (I don't care about that, btw, but it shows they weren't busy). Once, the manager came by with an exterminator to spray my patio while I was drinking cappuccino. I asked them to wait, but again, this shows a lack of professionalism to just assume it's ok to spray insecticide when a guest is enjoying a beverage on the patio. - During my stay, my husband didn't feel well so he had to rely on the hotel food options. This was the big downfall of this place. The menu options were VERY limited and barely passable. The place has no restaurant but seems to get food delivered in. Some of it seemed akin to airline food and was often lukewarm. It got really tiring for my husband to eat the same couple of meals. The bottom line is that you don't get a true hotel experience here. No way to order cocktails at the pool, for example. There is no lobby, just a reception area that is down in a sort of basement and the door is locked at all times-- very unwelcoming It felt isolated and depressing despite its beauty. There are many more better options at this price point. I would not return.

Highly recommend! This resort is extremely relaxing and clean. Not only does everything smell amazing, it is beautiful yet peaceful! My group and I purchased the scents provided by the amazing welcoming staff! (Dimitris and Denis) Our breakfast was excellent, the beds were comfortable and this entire experience has just been more than anything I could have asked for! Thank you Ventus di Milo!
