My family and I recently stayed at The View Melbourne Hotel over the Christmas holidays, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel's location is a significant plus, conveniently situated near main roads, the serene Albert Park, various restaurants, Alfred Hospital, and accessible public transport options like buses and trams. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Margherita, a friendly staff member who made our check-in process smooth and pleasant. She was thorough in explaining the housekeeping rules, ensuring that we were well-informed from the start. Our room was cozy and impeccably clean, providing a comforting retreat after our daily excursions. We appreciated the daily housekeeping service during our 3-night stay, which kept our room tidy and stocked with fresh towels regularly. An added convenience was the hotel's on-site basement parking. The rate of $19 per night for hotel guests felt reasonable and provided a sense of security for our vehicle. The breakfast buffet, priced at $29 per adult with a half-price option for children over 5, offered a wide selection of delicious choices to start our day. Overall, our stay at The View Melbourne Hotel was a positive experience. The combination of friendly service, cleanliness, and convenient location made it an ideal choice for our family holiday. Had one of the greatest experiences. Travelled from Sydney & 1st time in Melbourne. My small daughter was so tired after flying. I wanted to check-in early. Monika, who assisted us, was amazing. She was king enough to arrange everything for us from the start. Really appreciate her friendly & her kind gesture. Great BF. Comfy rooms. Stay was amazing, too. Whenever we come to Melbourne, for sure we will stay at View Melbourne again.

Our rooms was very dusty. Looks like no one bothered to wipe the lamp, the benches, the coffee and tea area. The cable of the kettle and the lamp was covered in dust. Carpet was very old. Bathroom ok, but the grout in the bathroom looks dirty. The whole place needs to be upgraded. The window outside needs a good clean. A lot of dirt stuck on the window. Overall, not at a 4 star hotel standard.

We've stayed here a few times and to be honest we have always come back here due to the service. However the last few times the service has been lacking and the accommodation is becoming below average, stains/water damage on the ceiling, room smells and the bath rooms have what looks like mould in the grout line. Like I said the View was a really nice place to say, just very tired and lacking now.
