We got this for around USD25 a night, which for the location is a good price, in my opinion. The room can be called decent, definitely not luxurious and a bit dated. Bed was fine, bathroom was large with a bath (that we did not test). Shower is small for the large bathroom space and water leaking quite a bit and does not flow easily down the drain and therefore floods the bathroom floor (on top of leaking shower screen in general). Pressure and temperature of shower is good. Bed is good too. Location is brilliant. We would not stay again, however, we got a bit strange vibes from the owner. I had the feeling he was looking for additional ways to make money and felt like he was trying to overcharge for services. Anywhere else in Laos we have had fantastic interactions with the owners, who were always trying to help and provided support at cost. Overall, not a bad budget choice though, assuming you get the discounted rate. If your budget allows, I would recommend villa namkhan heritage a few doors next to this one.

Poor mind, poor service. I got terrible experience here, when I check in, the manager of this vila hotel said I need to change room tomorrow insisting to stay in the room I didnt book. So terrible. What makes me annoyed was he said "If you cannot accept this, go to another sister hotel or refund." So poor mind. He loses his face everytime I cannot accept this. I was so angry. What exactly he is doing in front of customer? I accepted and said him to go away because I already had tour pick me up tomorrow. The same manager seemed to make same mistakes ( or on purpose) to other guests... His accent and english was hard to understand and the service attitude was poor soooooo poor. He works so bad when I asked him to book train to vangvieng.... maybe he forgot to book and said to me " already sold out" when I came back to hotel after tour. The hotel was not good for value absolutely and I do no recommend to stay here.

Wow, a great hotel! We have been budget traveling through SEA and our room here was so nice and felt like such a luxury, while not blowing our budget. The room was spacious and had a couch. It was also very clean. We also loved having a table/chairs right outside our room to sit and have breakfast. The staff was also helpful and helped us with booking a waterfall tour and train tickets to Vang Vieng

The location is fantastic for those of us who want to experience Luang Prabang, but don't want to be bothered by the sounds from the night market or partying backpackers. It's on one of the quieter streets, so when you get home at night you can just relax, at the same time as it is close enough to all the fun Old Town Luang Prabang stuff to be able to walk the distance in just a few minutes. The rooms are cozy and very well maintained, and to be able to have breakfast with a view of the river while still not being right by the morning traffic on the street was a great way to start each day. A special round of applause goes to the incredible staff! They where wonderful the entire time we stayed there, but then they really kicked it up a notch when we discovered that we had book the wrong flight and needed to get to Vientiane as soon as possible. The made sure that no more than ten minutes later vi where safely on a prepaid taxi that took us right where we needed to go, and they were doing it in the middle of breakfast service. Really, this might be the best hotel staff in the world.
