The Villa Mahasok Hotel is very comfortable and convenient. Not far from the night market and the city's main avenue. Fully equipped rooms, nice swimming pool and a good breakfast buffet. It's a very nice place to stay

I liked the hotel very much. It is 3 star category, but the climate is really nice. The hotel is located in old French colonial house with a beautiful garden and comfortable swimming pool. Rooms are clean although there are not a lot amenities ( hair dryer and safe are in). Tasty breakfast with variety of food is served in cosy restaurant with beautiful view. When I am Luang Prabang I Will come back for sure.

VILLA MAHASOK HOTEL presents a mixed experience. While the hotel's location receives a commendable three-star rating, several aspects of our stay left room for improvement. Firstly, there was ongoing construction work in the adjacent room, which severely impacted our ability to sleep. The disturbance caused by the construction was a notable inconvenience. Additionally, the air conditioning system seemed to operate on an irregular setting. It initially cooled the room rapidly, but later shifted to a warmer setting during the night, leading to discomfort. Furthermore, the condition of the bathtub was subpar, as it was found to be broken. The state of the bathtub detracted from the overall comfort of the room. On a more positive note, the breakfast offered was satisfactory, with the highlight being the quality of the fruits provided. In conclusion, the hotel's location is its standout feature, earning it a three-star rating. However, there are areas that require attention, particularly noise control, air conditioning system maintenance, and room amenities such as the bathtub. These issues detracted from the overall quality of our stay.

Rooms were only passable for the price. Floors seemed to have a film of oil. Service was poor. I asked five times - no lie - and finally had to raise my voice to get the shower gel dispenser - which was empty on arrival - refilled. It wasn’t a language problem. The location is good but Luang Prabang is small and almost everything in the tourist area is walkable so no big deal. The buffet breakfast was reasonable. Best thing was the pool, which was a nice reprieve from the heat. I’ve stayed in 5 other places in Laos and this is bottom of my list.

My experience at this hotel has been very poor. Today, once I returned to the hotel after spending since very early in the morning exploring the city, I found that the room had been mopped and clean, and while the floor was wet, my bagpack got wet with clothes and where I had inside my laptop which has been damaged. It does not make sense, and I only realized after I left Luang this afternoon that the laptop is not properly working. Bedsheets were also not clean. This is not acceptable.
