If you read no other review, make sure it's this one. When you travel around the world, you always hope to have a good experience where you stay. While in Sri Lanka, I decided to stay in Villa Serenity in Weligama. I planned to stay just 4 days. I ended up staying for almost 2 weeks because of this incredible family and their amazing accommodation. First of all, this villa is beautiful and peaceful, and the wifi is great. It's set about 5 minutes from everything. You can go to Marissa Beach and Ahangama town. There are transportations everywhere but you get to restore and breathe when you stay here. The son, mom, and dad take care of this villa. They have multiple rooms filled with ACs or fans, a kitchen so you can cook, a fridge. You can share all of these things with other guests, depending on your budget. The son also has a tuk tuk and can take you anywhere you'd like. They also rent out bikes if you need it. He knows everything and everyone and will take care of you. He and his whole family are so kind. As a solo female traveler, safety is important, and I was so safe here I just kept extending my stay. I fell in love with his parents. His mom became my mom. While in Sri Lanka, I mostly ate vegan, and she cooked me the best meals. No one does better curry than this woman. She is phenomenal. I cried like a baby leaving this villa. It was the best stay I had I in Sri Lanka. I will miss them so much and I highly recommend staying here. This is the best place to stay in the south.

The room was pretty good for it’s price, but if it’s room in the owner house-it may be noisy. But the provide many big and light rooms with fresh shower, chilling zone, terasse and roof top for yoga or meditation. There is a kitchen as well with friedge, cattle and cutlery. The owner and his family are super friendly, polite and helpful. Just ask Prabat about bike, car-and he will provide and can organize some trip arround the island very well with good price! Recommend!

Generally it's worth it. Best area to staying: 20 minutes walking to surfspots, 25 minutes walking to jungle beach, quiet place. Very nice view from the rooftop. Friendly staff and owner. Enough good internet, but not excellent during rain. Bright rooms with AC are in good conditions. There is common room with sofa -double gas cooker will be better than single. Some carpets in the room also can give more comfort. The bed is very creaking, so when you make love all neighbours can hear it)) sometimes it smells bad in bathroom. So, compared to another guesthouses in Weligama this is very good. 8-9/10.

Stayed from Thursday 4th May 2023 to 7th May 2023 for 3 nights. Rented the entire villa on the 1st floor (one above the ground) to stay with my family and our pet dog. The host, Prabath was a very nice young man, always asking whether we needed anything and trying his best to accommodate. This place is within 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. There's a good view of the bay area from the roof top of the current 1st floor.
